1. How to generate TRACES Form 16 Part-A and Part-B?
Steps to generate TRACES Form 16 Part-A and Part-B.
Step 1: Login to TRACES.
First login to the TRACES through www.tdscpc.gov.in
Step 2: Request for TRACES Part-A and Part-B files.
After login request TRACES Part-A and Part-B files. For that go to Downloads and click “Request Downloads" and place the request for Part-A and Part-B by filling in the respected details.
Select the Financial Year for which your want to generate Form 16 Part-A and Part-B.
Fill the KYC validation details by using Digital Signature or through normal KYC process.
After providing correct KYC details, an authentication code will be generated, which is valid for the same calendar day for the same Financial Year, Form Type and Quarter.
Step 3: Download Form 16 Part-A and Part-B files.
After request submission TRACES Part-A and Part-B files can be downloaded from “Requested Download” tab by using any one of the options “HTTP download” or “Download Manager”.
Step 4: Download “Form 16 PDF Converter Utility ”
To convert Form 16 Part-A and Part-B into PDF format. Download converter utility from “Download” >> “Requested Download” tab
Step 5: Generate the TRACES Form 16 Part-A and Part-B.
Run the setup of “Form 16 PDF Converter Utility” then browse the downloaded zip files pf Part-A and Part-B and click Proceed to generate Form 16 Part-A and Part-B in PDF.
Separate utilities are available to generate TRACES Part-A and Part-B.
Generate TRACES Part-A and Part-B PDFs in two different folders without using Digital Signature.
2. How to Merge TRACES Part-A, Part-B with 12BA and Annexure from Smart Form 16 Software.
Step 1: Browse myitreturn.com and go to Form 16 software option.
Browse myitreturn.com and at the bottom click the Form 16 software option in the Corporate sections. or click the following link.
Step 2: Download the “Bulk Form-16 Generation Software” by clicking the Download button.
Step 3: Fill the details in the respective sheets as per the heads.
In the download folder, you will get the following files.
Smart_Form_16_FY2021-22.xlsm: Excel utility for data preparation to generate 12BA(Perquisite) and Salary Annexure. Fill the details in the respective sheets as per the heads.
Sample Files: For the references and testing.
Merging Utility: Desktop utility to merge TRACES Part-A and Part-B along with 12BA & Salary and to Digital Sign.
Step 4: Install the Form16 Merging Utility.
By clicking the setup.exe file Form16 Merging Utility will be installed. After successful installation, you will get "Skorydov Smart Form 16" icon on the desktop.
Step 5: Run the Form16 Merging Utility to generate the From 16.
You can merge the TRACES Part-A and Part-B
Generate 12BA and Salary Annexure.
Digitally sign the Form 16
Provide the password to protect the Form 16 PDFS
Select the Merge Part-A and Part-B Option and click next.
Step 6: Select the location of TRACES Part-A, Part-B and Data file and click Next.
Step 7: Select your Form 16 Options.
Select the option to generate 12BA and Salary Annexure
Select the option to Digitally sign and password protection.
Step 8: Generate the Form 16.
Click the "Generate" button to start the Form 16 generation. The utility will merge TRACES Part-A, Part-B with 12BA and Salary Annexure. It will Digitally sign the Form 16 and save all the PDFs in a respected Folder.
