Unable to complete your ITR filing?
Form 26AS is a tax statement linked to your PAN. It contains information such as tax deducted at source, tax collected at source, advance tax, self-assessment tax and certain other tax-related entries reported to the Income Tax Department.
You can upload Form 26AS in the myITreturn app to add relevant dividend-income details and review the imported entries before filing your income-tax return.
Before You Begin
- Download Form 26AS and save it on your device.
- Make sure you sign in to the correct myITreturn account.
- Select the correct member and PAN before uploading the file.
- Keep your tax records available to verify the imported entries.
Steps to Upload Form 26AS on the myITreturn App
Follow these steps to upload and review your Form 26AS information.
Step 1: Sign In to the myITreturn App
Open the myITreturn app and sign in using your registered account details.
Step 2: Select the Member
Select the member or PAN for whom you want to upload Form 26AS.
Step 3: Open the Dividend Income Section
Activate or open the Dividend Income feature to access the Form 26AS upload option.
Step 4: Select Add
Tap the Add button to add or upload dividend-income information.
Step 5: Select Upload Form 26AS
Choose the Upload Form 26AS option.
Form 26AS and the Annual Information Statement contain different types of tax information. Read our guide on the difference between AIS and Form 26AS before uploading, if required.
Step 6: Choose and Upload the File
Select the Form 26AS file saved on your device and tap the Upload button.
Step 7: Review the Imported Entries
After the upload is completed, the imported entries will appear on the screen. Review the amount, payer details and other available information before proceeding.
Step 8: Edit or Remove an Entry
Use the available action buttons to modify or remove an incorrect or duplicate entry.

Important
Uploading Form 26AS does not replace the need to review your tax records. Check the imported information and remove duplicate or incorrect entries before completing your return.
Troubleshooting Form 26AS Upload Issues
The file is not uploading
Check that you selected the correct Form 26AS file. Download a fresh copy and try uploading it again if the file appears damaged or incomplete.
No entries appear after upload
Confirm that the uploaded statement belongs to the selected PAN and contains relevant entries. You may also try downloading and uploading the statement again.
An imported entry appears incorrect
Compare the imported entry with your Form 26AS and other available tax records. Use the edit or remove option where correction is required.
The upload problem continues
Raise a support ticket and provide a brief description of the issue. Do not share your password, OTP or other confidential login information.
