Unable to complete your ITR filing?
myITreturn’s Assisted Tax Filing Service allows you to get help from a tax expert for preparing and filing your Income-tax Return. You can upload your documents, select a suitable plan, communicate with the expert through the case chat box, review the computation, and provide consent before the return is filed.
Important: Keep your Form 16, AIS/TIS, Form 26AS, capital gains reports, bank interest details, deduction proofs, and other income documents ready before starting the Assisted Filing process.

Step 7: Upload your documents
Upload the required documents and click Upload & Continue. You may also skip this step and upload the documents later from the case chat box.
Note: Uploading complete and correct documents helps the tax expert prepare your computation faster and reduces the need for repeated follow-ups.
Step 8: Select a plan
Choose the plan that best suits your filing requirement.
Step 9: Case ID generation and chat box access
Once your case ID is generated, you will be redirected to the case chat box automatically.
Step 10: Use the chat box for documents and queries
In the chat box, you can upload pending documents, update your Income Tax portal login credentials, and write your query in the comment section for the tax expert.
Step 11: Receive your computation sheet
After your case is assigned, the tax expert will review your documents and prepare the computation sheet. The computation will then be shared with you for review.
Step 12: Review the computation and provide consent
Carefully review the computation sheet. If you agree with the details, provide your consent for filing the Income-tax Return. If any correction is required, you can raise it before giving consent.
Before giving consent: Check your income details, deductions, tax payable or refund amount, bank details, and personal information carefully.
Step 13: Receive the ITR acknowledgment
Once your return is filed with the Income Tax Department, the acknowledgment copy will be shared with you.
What happens after filing?
After the return is filed, you should complete e-verification, if it is not already completed. Your return will be processed by the Income Tax Department only after successful verification.
Reminder: Filing the return and verifying the return are two separate steps. Please ensure that your return is verified within the applicable time limit.
