How to file Form 10BA on the Income Tax Portal?

Form 10BA is required when you claim deduction under Section 80GG for rent paid, in case you do not receive House Rent Allowance (HRA).

Steps to File Form 10BA Online:

Step 1: Log in to the Income Tax e-Filing portal

Step 2: From the dashboard, go to e-File → Income Tax Forms → File Income Tax Forms.

Step 3: Scroll down and select Form 10BA. You can also type “Form 10BA” in the search bar. Click File Now to continue.

Step 4: Choose the correct Assessment Year (AY).

Example: For income earned in FY 2024-25, select AY 2025-26.

Step 5: Review the list of documents needed, then click Let’s Get Started.

Step 6: Enter all the required details, then click Preview → Save.

Step 7: Review your information carefully, then click Proceed to e-Verify using any of these methods:

• Aadhaar OTP

• Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)

• Electronic Verification Code (EVC)

That’s it! Your Form 10BA will be successfully filed on the portal.
