What is Tax Credit Mismatch issue?
Tax Credit refers to the tax deposited into the government's treasury through methods such as Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), Advance tax, Self-assessment tax, etc. When there is a mismatch between the 'TDS' or 'Tax paid' claimed in the tax filing and the amount reflected in government records like Form 26AS or AIS, it is termed as tax credit mismatch.
