myITreturn Security+ feature
This is an optional free security enhancement on myITreturn.com.
Users often have asked us to increase the security of their myITreturn.com account. It is not uncommon to see users storing their passwords on the web browser. This means that some other user who has access to the machine can also access the user’s myITreturn.com account. Would it not be great if there is a random password that gets generated on your phone every minute? So, even if someone knows your password they will not have access to your phone and so your account will always be secure. For this increased security, we recommend that you configure multi-factor authentication (MFA) to help protect your myITreturn account. It is actually very easy. Follow the steps below.
For the geeks: MFA adds extra security because it requires users to enter a unique authentication code generated by the Google Authenticator App installed on an approved authentication device (your smartphone) when they access the myITreturn website. The Google Authenticator App generates a six-digit numeric code based on a time-synchronized one-time password algorithm. The user must enter a valid code from the App installed on their smartphone to log in to myITreturn.com.
Steps:
Step 1: Download Google Authenticator on your Smart Phone
Google Authenticator for Android | Google Authenticator for iOS
Step 2: Log in to myITreturn.com and enable Security+
Login to myITreturn.com and go to ‘Security+’ from the top-right menu on the Dashboard.
Step 3: Scan the QR Code on myITreturn.com
The QR Code contains a secret key that is unique only to your login. Open the Google Authenticator App and click the ‘+’ icon on iOS or ‘Setup up account > Scan a barcode’ on an Android phone.
You will be prompted to scan a QR Code.
Point the camera of your phone to the QR Code on the myITreturn.com Security+ tab.
Note: Android users may be prompted to install the Barcode Code scanner. Install the Barcode Scanner and then re-open the Google Authenticator App.
Step 4: Enter Generated Code to Enable Security+
The code changes every 1 minute. Enter the latest code generated on your Smart Phone and click ‘Enable Security+’.
Step 5: Login again to myITreturn
The next time you log in to myITreturn.com you will be prompted to enter the MFA Code to access your account.

Google Authenticator sucks...if for some reason, you reset your phone...there is no back up option....you loose access to any accounts used with it.
A two factor OTP to your registered mobile phone is a far better option.
